Learn about careers at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums.

Hello

A woman smiling enthusiastically as she runs a museum outreach session.

We are delighted that you are considering a career at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (TWAM). We welcome applications from all backgrounds and you can find information below about support we offer during the recruitment process.

We are a regional museum, art gallery and archives service and we manage nine museums and galleries across Tyneside and the Archives for Tyne and Wear, as well as other cultural initiatives. Our website provides information about our mission and vision, our venues, the services we provide and work we are involved in, how we are funded and our policies.

We are actively working towards removing barriers to working in our sector through a range of initiatives including paid internships, reimbursement of interview travel costs, encouraging applicants from non-academic backgrounds, and signing up to the Disability Confident Employers and Armed Forces Covenant schemes.

TWAM employees are also employees of Newcastle City Council, providing you with a wide range of benefits, development opportunities and staff support.

To find out more please see the FAQs below or get in touch at hrrecruitment@twmuseums.org.uk.
