Please donate, and help us to deliver a first class service
As a charity, we rely on donations to enable us to maintain our collections and heritage sites and to deliver our exhibition and educational programmes, as well as many other free special events. Public funding amounts to less than half of our annual expenditure - 60% of the activities which take place across our venues are funded by our customers, corporate supporters, and, principally, by the generosity of donors.

Donations made by credit or debit card make a real and immediate difference to our service, enabling us to fund a dynamic exhibitions and events programme. A regular donation helps us to continue to conserve the wonderful collections at our venues and to plan our exhibitions and learning programmes far into the future.
Donate by post
Send us a cheque made payable to the Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums Development Trust (with Gift Aid declaration if applicable) to the Development team using our Freepost address:
Newcastle upon Tyne
Whichever way you choose to give, please Gift Aid your donation. If you are a UK taxpayer, Gift Aid enables us to reclaim 25p for every pound you give from HM Treasury, substantially increasing the value of your donation at no extra cost to you.
You can select to add Gift Aid when donating online, or fill out a Gift Aid card in person the next time you visit one of our venues. You can contact us by telephone using the details below to make a verbal Gift Aid declaration or, if you are donating by post, please include a note with your name and address, acknowledging your UK tax status and your wish to Gift Aid your donation.
Leaving a gift in your will to Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums will help us to conserve and to exhibit some of the most important collections in the region at our iconic venues for generations to come. Many people feel a sense of personal and emotional connection to our galleries, museums, and heritage sites and (once their loved ones have been provided for) choose to include a bequest to a venue which has meant a lot to them and their family. Help us to secure the future of the venues and collections you and your family are passionate about – any gift, large or small, makes a real and lasting difference to our legacy in Tyne & Wear. We’re here to help and can answer any questions you may have regarding legacy giving.
If you are interested in discussing a donation or have any questions at all, please contact Catherine Kirkham on firstname.lastname@example.org or (0191) 277 2264.
